Alisa Drakes

Alisa Drakes (They/Them) is a Chicago-based practicing and teaching artist. They received their BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2021 with a focus in drawing, ceramics, and Visual and Critical Studies. Their practice focuses on wheel-thrown art objects that explore the ceramic vessel’s deeply intertwined relationship to the human body and experience. They have been teaching at Gnarware since 2021.
